Federal Aid

All students who meet eligibility requirements can get some type of financial aid regardless of age or family income. Federal student aid is financial aid from the federal government and is your first and best resource for funding your education.

To apply for Federal aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), each year.

For more information about applying for federal aid, be sure to view the video below.

Federal Student Aid consists of three types:

  • Grants are financial aid offers that typically do not have to be repaid.
  • Work Study allows you to earn money for your education.
  • Loans allow you to borrow money for your education. You must repay your loans, with interest.

Additional information regarding funding your education can be found at the Department of Education's website: www.studentaid.ed.gov

  3. Select the option to “Make FAFSA Corrections”.
  4. Go to the section where you’ve listed colleges and add the Roberts Wesleyan University code: 002805.
